THE GLOSSARY

Bonus terms glossary for Winmatch offers

Promotion terms are written in a vocabulary that can feel deliberately obscure. This glossary defines the words that carry the most weight, groups them by what they control and shows each in a worked example that uses invented numbers, so you can read an offer without guessing.

  • Plain definitions
  • Invented examples
  • Grouped by purpose
  • No real figures
HOW TO USE IT

Read the groups, then the entries

The terms fall into four groups: what you must do, what counts, how long you have and what stands between you and a payout. Start with the group map, read the basic entries first and move to the advanced ones when an offer uses them. Nothing here is a Winmatch quotation; the words are the ones used across the industry.

TERM GROUPS

Four groups of offer terms

Knowing which group a clause belongs to tells you what question it answers.

  • What you must do

Wagering requirements, minimum deposits and opt-in steps describe actions you need to take for the reward to attach.

  • What counts

Game contribution, excluded games and qualifying bets decide which of your stakes move the counter.

  • How long you have

Expiry dates and time windows set the clock on your requirement.

  • What stands between you and a payout

Maximum cashout, verification and review steps decide whether money can leave.

BASIC TERMS

The words every newcomer needs

These come up in almost every promotion.

Wagering requirement

The amount you must stake, usually as a multiple of the reward, before reward-linked winnings can be withdrawn.

Game contribution

The share of each stake that counts towards the requirement. A game may count in full, partly or not at all.

Expiry

The deadline for meeting the requirement. After it, the bonus part of your balance may be removed.

Opt-in

The step where you choose to accept an offer. Without it, the reward may never attach.

Sign up bonus

An offer aimed at new accounts. We do not confirm any particular one at Winmatch; whatever is in its promotions section applies.

Cashback

A return of part of net losses over a period. Check whether it comes back as withdrawable money or as bonus funds with their own wagering.

ADVANCED TERMS

Terms that cause the nastiest surprises

These are less obvious than the basics, and they are the ones most often missed.

Maximum cashout

A ceiling on what can be withdrawn from bonus winnings. Anything above it is typically removed.

Stake cap

The largest single bet allowed while a bonus is active. Breaking it can void winnings.

Sticky bonus

A reward that cannot itself be withdrawn; only the winnings it helped produce can leave, after wagering.

Abnormal play

A catch-all for betting patterns an operator treats as abuse, such as covering opposing outcomes to clear wagering cheaply.

KYC

Know-your-customer checks. Winmatch may request photo ID, proof of address and confirmation of the payment method used.

Account restriction

Winmatch's terms say it may restrict or suspend an account if requested identity verification is not provided.

WORKED EXAMPLES

Putting the terms to work with invented numbers

None of the figures below describes a real offer. They only show how the vocabulary behaves.

  • Counting a requirement

A made-up reward of 200 units with a requirement of five times means 1,000 units of qualifying stakes before reward-linked winnings can be taken out.

  • Applying a contribution

If the game counted for a quarter, each 100 units staked would move the counter by only 25, so the same 1,000 target would need 4,000 staked.

  • Hitting a cashout cap

With a made-up cap of 500 units, a balance of 900 after wagering would pay out 500, and the rest would be removed.

  • Missing the expiry

Say the clock is seven days and 900 of 1,000 units are staked at the deadline. The unfinished requirement can cost you the reward.

Asking the operator for a definition
WHEN A TERM IS MISSING

Asking the operator for a definition

If a clause uses a term you cannot find defined, ask Winmatch customer support to explain it in writing.

  • Point to the term

Quote the clause where the word appears, so the answer relates to your offer.

  • Ask for a number

Request the exact figure behind any vague phrase such as limited time or reasonable stakes.

  • Keep the answer

Save the written reply with the date and a screenshot.

GLOSSARY QUESTIONS

Questions about the vocabulary

A few last answers on reading offer terms.

Are these definitions Winmatch's own?

No. They are the common industry meanings. Where Winmatch's published wording differs, its terms win, so check them.

Which term should I check first?

The wagering multiple, since it sets the amount you must stake. Then game contribution, the deadline and any cashout cap.

What if a term is not defined anywhere?

Treat it as unclear. Ask customer support for the meaning in writing, or skip the offer.

Do the examples show real offers?

No. Every number in them is invented to illustrate arithmetic, and none is a promise or a Winmatch figure.
